Job summary

The Carnegie Club in Skibo Castle, Highland, is seeking a Switchboard Receptionist to join our Front of House team. You will handle internal and external calls, present a warm welcome, and support day-to-day operations across the club while coordinating with Reservations and Host teams.

The role requires excellent communication, a professional phone manner, and strong organisational skills. You will contribute to guest experiences, manage deliveries, and assist with bookings and administrative

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-end customer service or hospitality environment (4/5* preferred).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good computer literacy (including reservation systems where applicable).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all internal and external calls with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency.
• Act as a key first point of contact, creating a positive and lasting first impression.
• Coordinate and communicate requests clearly across departments, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up.
• Work collaboratively with Reservations and Host teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Assist with guest enquiries, bookings, and administrative tasks as required.
• Provide flexible support across Front of House operations during peak periods and events.
• Handle deliveries, post, and package tracking with care and organisation.
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.
• Ensure adherence to financial procedures in managing petty cash and other financial transactions.
• Stay informed on club services, events, and opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
