Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an experienced Front of House Security Officer in Birmingham. You will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, delivering a professional security presence and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, managing access, de-escalating situations, and producing clear incident reports while maintaining a polished appearance and reliable IT/system operation. Nights and weekends, CCTV licence required.

Qualifications

• CCTV SIA Licence (or equivalent) is essential.
• 5-year checkable employment history required.
• Experience in a corporate security environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and produce concise incident reports.
• Calm, positive, professional approach under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming security presence throughout the building.
• Be a key contact for tenants, visitors and staff.
• Deliver high-quality customer service at every interaction.
• Handle complaints calmly and professionally; de-escalate when needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports and operate security systems.
