Auchrannie Resort on the Isle of Arran is opening Bay Café by Auchrannie in Brodick. As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will join a brand-new team delivering friendly, professional service for locals and visitors, reflecting Auchrannie’s values.

You will know menus, take orders, handle dietary requests, upsell items, maintain cleanliness, and support smooth café operations across shifts, with daytime hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Great people and customer service skills with a bubbly personality.

• Willing to learn hospitality skills and develop knowledge of the industry.

About Auchrannie

Situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland, Auchrannie is a unique resort with two 4-star hotels and over forty 5-star luxury self-catering lodges and retreats. In addition to our luxury accommodation, we deliver amazing dining experiences across our restaurants, alongside incredible leisure facilities and ASPA, Scotland’s first island destination spa.

In November, we will be opening Bay Café by Auchrannie, an exciting new venture in the heart of Brodick. The café will offer great food, and the friendly, welcoming service Auchrannie is known for.

About the role

As a Food and Beverage Assistant at Bay Café by Auchrannie, you will be part of a brand-new team, helping us create a relaxed and welcoming café experience for both local customers and visitors to Arran.

You will provide every customer with friendly, professional service that reflects Auchrannie’s values and exceeds expectations.

In this role, you will:

• ensure each customer receives a warm and friendly welcome to the café
• maintain great knowledge of the food and drinks menus and feel confident answering menu-related questions and making recommendations
• serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• take food and beverage orders accurately, including any special requests and dietary requirements
• prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks to the required standard
• demonstrate the ability to recommend and upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue
• set up and clear down the café before and after service, ensuring all required standards are met
• maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety throughout the café
• deal with complaints professionally and pass all customer feedback to your manager.

To be suitable for this role you will:

• have great people and customer service skills, with a naturally friendly and bubbly personality
• enjoy working as part of a close team in a busy, fast-paced café environment
• ideally have previous experience of working in a café, restaurant, bar or other hospitality business
• demonstrate good attention to detail and the awareness to anticipate customers’ needs

Flexible part time hours available. Shifts will be mainly during the daytime and will include weekends, some evening shifts may also be required. Some flexibility to work across the Cafe and the Resort F+B outlets will be required.
