Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Patient Advisor for Lockside Medical Centre in Stalybridge to staff its front-line patient contact. The role involves acting as first point of contact, gathering information and directing patients to the right clinician within the Total Triage model, primarily at reception and via online forms.

Candidates should have public-facing reception experience and EMIS training.

Qualifications

• Public-facing reception experience is essential.
• EMIS training or certification is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for patients and direct them to the right clinician or service.
• Complete Accurx online consultation forms for patients unable to do so.
• Support patients with digital access to online services while protecting confidentiality.
• Manage the appointment system, bookings and reviews, and report delays.
• Chaperone clinicians where DBS is in place.
• Attend weekly practice meetings and contribute to strategic aims.
