Job summary

Tesco Retail is seeking delivery drivers to bring groceries directly to customers’ homes. You will manage in-home deliveries with a friendly, reliable service throughout varying shifts, while keeping vehicles and equipment clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities include loading the van, checking roadworthiness, communicating order changes, and ensuring customer satisfaction with timely, warm doorstep service. This role emphasizes flexible working hours and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months.
• Customer-facing role with a focus on friendly, helpful service.
• Ability to load/unload and handle products with care.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean and organised for all deliveries.
• Load the van safely and perform checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes or substitutions to customers and process refunds when needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and trust.
• Deliver within customer time slots with a friendly doorstep service.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and adapt to changing needs.
