Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team and help generate qualified sales opportunities for our Field sales team. This role reports to the Manager, Business Development and collaborates with regional sales and marketing to drive inbound and outbound activities.

You will develop an understanding of assigned accounts, connect our sales team with influencers and decision makers, and work with Account Management and Marketing to execute an account-based strategy

Qualifications

• Highly motivated with competitive personality and good attention to detail.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and strong organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a goal-driven environment is preferred.
• Experience working with CRM tools is a bonus.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads and respond to product inquiries, converting interest into sales accepted leads.
• Gather actionable intelligence (competition, projects, purchase intent, etc.) for assigned accounts.
• Manage email campaigns and conduct cold-calling campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Complete accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com.
• Schedule demonstrations between the Commercial Sales team members and potential customers.
