Job summary

Proofpoint in Reading, United Kingdom invites a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our Commercial sales team. You will generate qualified sales opportunities for our regional sales colleagues, learning a deep account understanding and connecting influencers and decision makers within prospect accounts.

Working with regional sales and marketing, you will run multi-channel prospecting, qualify leads, gather competitive intel, and schedule demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English required.
• Experience with CRM or Salesforce is a bonus.
• Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads and respond to product inquiries.
• Gather actionable intelligence for assigned accounts (competition, projects, purchase intent).
• Follow-up on leads generated by marketing and convert interest into sales accepted leads.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new sales prospects and conduct cold-calling campaigns.
• Track communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.
• Schedule demonstrations between Sales team members and potential customers.
