Job summary

Noble Recruiting supports a long-standing client at their Southampton offices in search of a confident Inside Sales and Quotations Clerk. The role focuses on handling customer inquiries, producing quotes via the 360 portal and in-house system, and building relationships with clients.

Training is provided for the quoting process, with no outbound sales. The position is permanent, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with free parking and a comprehensive benefits package discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in Shipping environment, customer service or sales within last 6 months.
• Excellent communication skills via phone and email.
• Polite, friendly, and approachable with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Quote customers using the 360 portal and in-house system (training provided).
• Ensure quotes are accurate with fast turnaround.
• Follow up quotes with customers by phone and ask clarifying questions to secure bookings.
• Conduct competition mapping.
• Provide feedback to management to help secure future bookings.

Noble Recruiting have the pleasure to support a wonderful, long-standing, and globally renown Client of ours at their Southampton Offices. We are looking for a confident Inside Sales and Quotations Clerk to join our client who is expanding their team and it's very exciting times for them - this role is primarily suited to you if you are from a Shipping/Freight background and love speaking with Customers & building relationships!

Permanent Position for you

Monday to Friday's - 9:00am to 5:30pm

On site position, free parking + fantastic benefits detailed at interview stage

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum - depending on experience

Your role would involve:

• Quoting customers using their 360 portal and in house system - training provided.
• Ensuring Quotes are sent accurately and with a fast turn around.
• Following up quotes with customers via phone and asking relevant questions to secure the booking.
• Competition mapping.
• Feeding back any information that could help secure future bookings for customers to management/team leader.
• NO outbound sales!

Experience we are looking for:

• Must have recent, demonstrable experience working within a Shipping environment - Customer service or sales area within the last 6 months.
• Excellent Customer Service skills - confident to communicate via telephone and emails.
• Polite, friendly and approachable manner.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Competent I.T. computer skills.
• Driver & own transport is desirable.
