Job summary

WR Logistics are seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join its team in Crowthorne, Berkshire. The role focuses on producing competitive freight quotations and guiding opportunities from enquiry to shipment handover across Air, Sea and Road Freight.

You will work closely with customers and partners, generate quotations in CargoWise, and deliver accurate pricing for bids while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience within freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication.
• Ability to provide accurate quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Producing competitive and accurate pricing for bids, tenders and quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight.
• Generating quotations through CargoWise.
• Liaising with airlines and shipping lines to obtain competitive rates.
• Following up quotations and developing opportunities with customers.
• Liaising with UK customers and overseas partners/agents.

• Passing secured shipments to operations with clear instructions.

Internal Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding

Location: Crowthorne, Berkshire

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An established international freight forwarding business is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to join its team in Crowthorne.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous freight forwarding sales experience who enjoys pricing, customer interaction and securing new business opportunities across Air, Sea and Road Freight.

The Role

Working closely with customers, overseas partners, carriers and the operations team, you will be responsible for producing competitive freight quotations and following opportunities through from initial enquiry to shipment handover.

• Preparing competitive and accurate pricing for bids, tenders and general quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight
• Generating quotations through CargoWise
• Liaising with airlines and shipping lines to obtain competitive rates
• Following up quotations and developing opportunities with customers
• Liaising with UK customers and overseas partners/agents
• Handling customer and pricing-related queries
• Passing successfully secured shipments across to the operations team with clear instructions

The Candidate

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of 2 years sales experience within freight forwarding
• A good understanding of the freight forwarding industry
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication
• The ability to provide accurate quotations across Air, Sea and Road Freight
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail
