Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Freelance Project Manager to oversee a high-rise recladding project in Central Manchester. You will hold full responsibility for delivery, ensuring safety, quality, budget and timeline targets over a 30-week contract.

You will coordinate site operations, manage subcontractors, ensure regulatory compliance (UK building regs, fire safety), and act as the main liaison with the client, authorities, and residents.

Qualifications

• Proven track record managing major external envelope, facade, or recladding projects.
• Deep understanding of current UK building regulations and fire safety legislation.
• valid certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work.
• Strong leadership to manage complex stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards, and HSE guidelines.
• Track milestones and manage risks on the 30-week schedule.
• Act as liaison between client, authorities, building control, and residents/tenants.
• Manage budgets, variations, and valuations with the commercial team.
