Job summary

Brown & Wills Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a recladding project on a high-rise building in Central Manchester. You will hold full responsibility for delivery, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets over a 30-week contract.

Candidates should have a proven track record in major external envelope or recladding projects, a solid understanding of UK building regulations and fire safety rules, and valid certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering major external envelope, facade or recladding projects.
• Deep understanding of current UK building regulations, fire safety legislation and remediation funds.
• Valid certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card and First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate cladding subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with building regs, fire safety standards and HSE guidelines.
• Track milestones against the 30-week schedule and manage risks/delays.
• Liaise between client, authorities, building control and residents/tenants.
• Manage budgets, variations and valuations with the commercial team.
