Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Project Manager for a permanent role located in Greater London or Kent. The successful candidate will manage cladding remediation projects while ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £65,000, depending on experience, alongside generous annual leave and health benefits. You will lead project teams from inception through to completion, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring all safety regulations are met.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or supporting cladding remediation or building-safety projects.
• Working knowledge of façade systems and fire safety requirements.
• Experience managing procurement, contract administration, or design coordination.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently working in partnership with one of Building Magazines Top 100 consultancy firms, who are recruiting for a Project Manager on a permanent contract. The position is due to start on notice & can be based out of their London or Kent office.

The salary is up to £65,000 dependent on experience for the role.

The ideal candidate will need to have experience delivering or supporting cladding remediation or building-safety projects.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and managing cladding remediation projects from initial brief through design, procurement, construction, and handover
• Acting as Employers Agent/Contract Administrator under various forms of contract (typically JCT)
• Assisting clients in navigating building safety legislation, including requirements under the Building Safety Act and related regulatory guidance
• Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, fire engineers, façade consultants, and contractors
• Preparing high-quality reports, procurement documents, tender evaluations, and client updates
• Overseeing site progress, quality inspections, compliance checks, and record-keeping for building safety files

Experience required:

• Experience delivering or supporting cladding remediation or building-safety projects
• Working knowledge of façade systems, fire safety requirements, and construction processes for mid-rise/high-rise buildings
• Experience managing or assisting with procurement, contract administration, or design coordination

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Façade systems, external wall construction, and cladding remediation best practice
• Building Safety Act 2022: Gateways, duty holders, Golden Thread, and occupied building requirements
• JCT contract forms and Employers Agent responsibilities
