Job summary

The Early Years Alliance is seeking freelance assessors to deliver high-quality early years training, including Apprenticeships, stand-alone qualifications and professional development programmes.

You will deliver virtual classroom sessions, assess learner work and provide constructive feedback. You will travel to workplaces to complete assessments and 12-week reviews, supporting endpoint assessment for apprentice learners, while keeping your CPD up to date.

Qualifications

• Hold vocational assessor qualification (A1 or Level 3 Cert in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
• Hold a teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, L3 AET, L4 CET, L5 DET).
• Be confident supporting learners to develop English and maths skills.
• Have own transport and be willing to travel.
• Be proficient using ICT to promote teaching, learning and assessment.
• Be confident using Teams and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual classroom sessions to learners.
• Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.
• Travel to workplaces for assessments, reviews and endpoint assessments for apprentices.
• Maintain up-to-date CPD and participate in standardisation/CPD meetings.
