Job description

The Freelance Driver Trainer position in Manchester, offered through Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial, pays £150 daily on a contract basis. You will deliver half and full-day coaching sessions, primarily in category B vans, at client sites. Your remit includes conducting thorough on-road assessments and classroom-based induction or upgrade training, followed by the timely submission of precise evaluation reports for each delegate. This contract suits experienced instructors seeking varied work.

You will represent PDT Fleet Training Solutions, providing professional development for commercial drivers.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills, a current assessor qualification, and a flexible approach to travel.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain.

This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

Required skills and experience

• Accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
