Job summary

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is seeking freelance Driver Trainers/instructors for sessions across Bodmin and other sites in Great Britain. You will deliver both half-day and full-day coaching and assessments for Category B vehicles, often vans, with reports completed within set timeframes.

As an experienced instructor, you will use provided materials, travel to client locations, and maintain flexible scheduling. Weekend work and fuel supplements are available on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

• Desirable ADI Fleet Trainer accreditation or LGV NIR registration.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel across Great Britain.

Responsibilities

The Freelance Driver Trainer position, based in Bodmin, involves delivering half and full-day coaching sessions for category B vehicles, primarily vans, on client premises. Working on a contract basis for PDT Fleet Training Solutions via Pertemps Gloucester, the role offers £150 per day. Responsibilities include providing induction and upgrade training, conducting assessments, and completing precise reports within set timeframes. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a flexible approach to travel. This contract suits experienced instructors seeking varied work with prestigious clients across Britain. Reliable vehicle ownership and relevant qualifications are essential for this autonomous role. PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

Your duties will include the following:

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
