Job description

As a Freelance Driver Trainer based in Croydon, you will deliver half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions for PDT Fleet Training Solutions, working with category B vehicles, predominantly vans, at client premises across Great Britain.

This contract position offers £150 per day and involves a mix of classroom-based theory and practical on-road instruction for induction and upgrade courses.

Your responsibilities include completing precise assessment reports within set timeframes.

We seek instructors with strong communication skills and a meticulous approach to evaluation.

This role suits experienced professionals seeking flexible assignments with a prominent fleet training provider, delivering consistent, high-quality results for prestigious clients nationwide.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain.

This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

Key duties

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

Desired skills and experience

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
