Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a busy residential development in Sussex. The role is freelance with potential for permanency and a strong project pipeline.

You will oversee plots from 1st fix to completion, support the Site Manager, coordinate trades, ensure H&S compliance, and drive snagging to closure. A proven track record on similar sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager on residential developments.
• Strong understanding of the build process from 1st fix to handover.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades on a fast-paced site.
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing plots from 1st fix to completion.
• Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations on site.
• Coordinating trades and subcontractors to meet deadlines and standards.
• Ensuring health & safety compliance across the site.
• Maintaining quality control and handling snagging efficiently.
