Job summary

Boots in Nottingham, Beeston is seeking a Franchise Standards & Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across 45+ Opticians stores and support recruitment and development of partners. You will partner with Franchise, Retail and Finance to deliver the operational plan and uphold brand standards.

This field-based role covers the North West and North Birmingham, focusing on patient safety, clinical and retail standards, with clear career progression within Boots.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles across a geography, including Optical/Franchise models.
• Strong understanding of finance, P&L, cash flow and ROI.
• Zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance and strict process adherence.
• Ability to coach partners and drive best practice across regions.
• Proven track record of identifying trends and driving action.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for 45+ Opticians stores, protecting brand and governance.
• Develop franchise partner capability to meet contract terms.
• Support regional manager to deliver operational excellence across the region.
• Create regional plans for operations, standards and clinical compliance.
• Support recruitment, succession, and development plans for the Franchise business.
• Ensure each partner has a clear 5-year performance and investment plan.
• Coach franchise partners and share best practices across Regions.
• Ensure adherence to Store Operating Model and progress store action plans.
• Upskill store teams to meet operational goals.
