Job description

Well-established and reputable business based in the Wigan area is seeking an FP&A Revenue Finance Business Partner. This is a 15-month contract role to cover maternity leave.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the responsibilities include:

1. Producing accurate and timely management reports within a team of four
2. Preparing weekly revenue and utilisation reports
3. Handling month-end journal postings and data analysis, including in-depth review of subcontract costs and related journal entries
4. Managing the sales rebate process, including monthly journal postings and liaising with the sales team
5. Preparing month-end reporting packs for all areas
6. Conducting periodic balance sheet reconciliations
7. Maintaining the asset register and system data entry
8. Partnering with two divisions of the company through monthly review meetings to understand financial and operational performance
9. Generating quarterly forecasts and the annual budget
10. Performing ad hoc financial analysis as required

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of AAT qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience in a busy finance team is preferable
• Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills for interpreting, manipulating, and presenting detailed financial data
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet demanding deadlines
• Ability to liaise effectively with non-financial departments, such as Operations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A pragmatic approach, combining technical expertise with flexibility in a commercial environment
