Job summary

Portman Recruitment Limited represents an established independent fostering provider seeking an experienced Registered Fostering Manager to lead and develop its fostering service in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operational, strategic and commercial performance, ensuring Ofsted compliance, providing safeguarding leadership, overseeing carer assessments and reviews, and driving staff development and service growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and Fostering Services Regulations
• Managing the day-to-day delivery of the fostering service
• Providing safeguarding leadership across the service
• Overseeing foster carer assessments, approvals and reviews
• Leading quality assurance and audit activity
• Managing, supervising and developing staff
• Supporting foster carer recruitment and retention
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Local Authorities
• Monitoring budgets, KPIs and service performance
• Supporting business growth and service development
• Overseeing Fostering Panel activity, training and out-of-hours arrangements

Job description

Salary: up to £65,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37 hours, full time

Reports to: Director

Accountable to: Responsible Individual

An established independent fostering provider is seeking an experienced Registered

Fostering Manager to lead and develop its fostering service.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the operational, strategic and

commercial performance of the service and will also act as the agency's safeguarding

lead.

This is a senior leadership role suited to someone with strong fostering experience and a
