Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories and MasonOS, embedding with factories in the UK, Europe and the US to ship production code and apply AI to workflows.
This hands-on build role is open to graduates and experienced engineers; you will train operators, create playbooks, develop self-service tools, and turn field patterns into roadmaps while traveling frequently.
Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the UK, US, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.
This role sits where MasonOS meets the shop floor. Every new factory in our network adds training, adoption and support work. You will embed with factories and network sites in the UK, Europe and the US, own their success with MasonOS end to end, ship production code, apply AI to their workflows and build the tools that make each new site easier than the last.
It is not a support role. It is a build role, deployed forward. We are open to graduate and experienced engineers.
Run onboarding, training and day-to-day adoption with machinists, engineers and site operators.
Turn repeated support questions into playbooks, training material or self-service tools. You are measured on the support burden falling, not on tickets closed.
Put agentic workflows into operational use: reporting, supplier follow-ups and order status.
Ship fixes and small features into MasonOS through the same review as every other engineer.
Turn patterns from the field into clear, written requirements for the roadmap.
Prototype with any tool, but state lives in Mason: every prototype carries a decision date.
You ship production code with minimal supervision.
Full-stack fluency across backend, frontend and integrations.
Hands-on experience applying LLMs to real workflows.
Clear communication with operators and technical leaders, and the ability to build trust on site.
The judgement to decide what matters without waiting for a ticket queue.
Willingness to travel frequently, including extended site deployments.
Forward-deployed or deployment engineering experience.
Exposure to manufacturing, CNC, aerospace or defence.
MES or ERP systems.
Define a new function rather than fill a seat.
Your work shows up on real shop floors within days.
Work with MasonOS, agentic AI and live factory operations.
Competitive salary and equity.
Location: On-site at one of our factories in London, Dallas, Hamburg or Paris, with roughly 30 to 50 per cent of your time embedded at factory sites.
