Isembard is seeking a Factory Advisor to deploy into our London or Dallas sites and drive operational excellence across the factory network. You will learn the MasonOS playbook, train site teams, audit execution, and help owners understand P&L and cash flow while traveling frequently across the UK, Europe, and US to deploy new sites.
The role combines hands-on factory work with clear communication to raise performance and profitability, with equity on offer for strong performers.
Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the UK, US, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.
A factory network is only as good as its worst site. Factory Advisors, sometimes called deployed factory engineers, get new and existing sites in our network running to the Isembard standard and keep them there.
You will deploy into factories, work directly with owner-operators, general managers and site teams, and be their point of contact as they become operationally and financially successful. Technical competence matters, but communication is the differentiator: you learn the operating playbook in depth, teach it clearly and hold every site to it.
Support factory setup, onboarding and operating-model implementation at new and existing sites.
Translate the playbook into shop-floor practice: production flow, documentation, quality and traceability, communication cadence and MasonOS adoption.
Train site teams and explain technical concepts in language people can act on.
Audit factories against the playbook, write clear findings and corrective action plans, and recommend go or no-go when a site is not ready.
Help site owners understand their P&L and cash flow, and improve profitability.
Stay with sites after launch through audits, check-ins and follow-up support.
Feed lessons from each deployment back into SOPs, checklists and training material.
Strong operating experience in a demanding, practical environment.
Outstanding written and verbal communication.
Technical curiosity and the ability to learn systems quickly.
The judgement to hold a high bar without losing the room.
The ability to analyse a P&L and cash flow statement.
Willingness to work hands-on in factories and to travel frequently, including extended site deployments.
Implementing SOPs, quality systems, training programmes or site audits.
Process engineering or factory operations.
Military operations or logistics.
Manufacturing, CNC, aerospace or defence, and exposure to AS9100, ITAR or export control.
Directly affect how well factories launch, operate and improve.
Work across advanced machine tools, MasonOS, quality systems and live production.
Strong operators earn more scope quickly.
Competitive salary and equity.
Location: On-site at our London or Dallas factory, with frequent travel across the UK and Europe or across the US, including extended site deployments.
