Job description

Joining Sainsbury's as a Format Delivery Coordinator means becoming part of a dynamic and innovative team within the Property division, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of format design packs. With a focus on collaboration, accuracy, and proactive problem‑solving, you will have the opportunity to work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to drive impactful change and support the execution of projects with confidence. By joining our team, you will have the chance to contribute to a culture that values transparency, continuous improvement, and genuine human connections, while receiving structured support, guidance, and opportunities for growth and development.

What you’ll do

You’ll be accountable for ensuring the right‑first‑time delivery of format design packs by managing tracking, compliance checks, and change control processes. Your role will involve maintaining live trackers to align packs with agreed programme milestones, preparing concise weekly performance reports, and conducting initial checks of design packs against established principles. Working closely with stakeholders, you will address gaps, capture store plan changes, and ensure accurate documentation for onsite teams. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying and resolving issues post‑launch, collating feedback for improvements, and supporting the broader stakeholder engagement by providing clear and timely communication on pack status, risks, and blockers.

Who you are

You’re a detail‑oriented professional with a strong focus on ensuring the right‑first‑time delivery of format design packs by effectively managing tracking, compliance checks, and change control processes. Your ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, maintain accurate documentation, and proactively address challenges enables onsite teams to execute confidently, while allowing the Format Delivery team to concentrate on broader stakeholder engagement and successful project delivery. Your commitment to accuracy, proactive problem‑solving, and continuous improvement drives the success of format design projects and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Responsibilities

We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work‑life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. For a FTSE business, we move incredibly fast. When we’re not handling projects, we’re helping all corners of the wider group with what they’re trying to achieve. And around here, you can see the results of your work as soon as you walk into a store, which gives you a real sense of purpose and responsibility. Better still, the team around you will listen to your ideas and opinions, and you’ll have every chance to try something new. The sheer scale and complexity of our set‑up means there’s always something else around the corner, and we’ll help and support you every step of the way. We’re trusted to get on with it. So get ready to make things happen here.
