Job summary

The Wernick Group is seeking a Forklift Truck Driver/Yard Operative for an Inverness depot. You will operate a counterbalance FLT, move units in the yard, service Groundhog units, and assist with cleaning tasks while maintaining safety and high standards of housekeeping.

A mechanical background is desirable; training will be provided. A valid FLT license is essential, and applicants should be able to work as part of a committed team with excellent time management and customer service skills.

FLT LICENSE ESSENTIAL.
A mechanical background would be desirable but training will be given.
Able to multi task and prioritise busy workload.

Responsibilities

Moving units in the yard with FLT.
Servicing of Groundhog units.
Occasional assisting in cleaning units.
Keeping the forklift truck in good and serviceable condition.
Minimise material wastage.
Ensuring safe loading and unloading of cabins / buildings and materials.
Maintain good housekeeping in the yard and workshop at all times.
Adhere to current health and safety legislation.

You will need a FLT license to be successful in this role and this is essential - being familiar and experience of operating a counterbalance 10t FLT is a distinct advantage.
