Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Workshop Forklift Engineer to join their family-run business. You will service, repair and maintain forklift trucks and material handling equipment in a busy workshop.

The role offers a £38,000-£40,000 basic salary, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with standby after probation and double-time overtime when called out, plus opportunities for training and progression within a long-term career.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift or material handling experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Good hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electric, diesel or LPG equipment.
• A reliable and professional approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Role

We are working with a well-established, family-run material handling business that is looking for an experienced Workshop Forklift Engineer to join their team in Mansfield.

This is a hands-on workshop role working on a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

Key Duties

• Service and repair forklift trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Work on electric, diesel and LPG equipment
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections
• Fault-find and complete repairs
• Complete service paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop
• Work to company health & safety procedures

About You

• Previous forklift or material handling experience

• Experience with electric, diesel or LPG equipment
• A reliable and professional approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a teamHeavy Plant, Agricultural, Powered Access, HGV or Automotive Engineers with transferable skills will also be considered.
