Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Forest School HLTA to join a forward-thinking school in Burnley. You will lead outdoor learning sessions, support curriculum delivery, and work closely with teachers to inspire confidence and resilience in pupils.

The role is full-time term-time, with hours aligned to school schedules. Your Forest School qualification (Level 3 desirable) and HLTA experience will help you create engaging, safe outdoor learning experiences for children of diverse needs.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or substantial HLTA-level experience.
• Forest School Level 3 is desirable.
• Experience leading outdoor learning activities with children.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate Forest School and outdoor learning sessions.
• Lead groups of pupils in a safe, stimulating outdoor environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through hands-on learning.
• Work alongside teachers to enrich curriculum topics through outdoor education.
• Promote positive behaviour, resilience and teamwork.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain outdoor learning areas to a high standard.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to wider school life.
