Job summary

Center Parcs Longleat Forest is seeking a Forest Ranger to maintain paths, protect habitats and waterways, and keep our woodland vibrant. You will operate machinery and support conservation projects, working in all weather and seasons.

The role requires a NVQ Level 2 in horticulture/forestry, a valid driving licence, and comfort with outdoor duties. A minimum 160-hour guarantee over a 4-week period applies, with shifts from 7am to 7pm and occasional call-outs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in horticulture or forestry (or equivalent) is required.
• Comfortable outdoors in all weathers and able to use tools and follow safety procedures.
• Full valid driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months.

Forest Ranger

Longleat Forest | £14.01 per hour

Care for the forest that cares for our guests

As a Forest Ranger, you'll help keep our woodland safe, healthy and full of life - from maintaining footpaths to protecting wildlife habitats and waterways.

• Maintaining forest and landscaped areas
• Operating specialist tools and machinery
• Supporting conservation and seasonal forestry work
• Work outdoors in all seasons and all weathers

Your working hours

• Full-time contract, with shifts falling between 7am and 7pm
• You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over a 4-week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
• This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• You may also be required to participate in the department's call-out rota as required

About you

• Full valid driving licence (held for a minimum of 6 months)
