Job summary

Primark in Reading is seeking a Forecast Analyst to support the Phase 1 Smart Retail Ordering project, shaping forecast processes across depots and stores and translating data into actionable decision-making.

You will work with Data Science, Product and external vendors, becoming a superuser of the SRO forecasting tools, while collaborating with Buying, Merchandising, Retail and Supply Chain to align forecasts with commercial priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in forecasting, merchandising, planning, allocation or supply chain within retail.
• Ability to interpret data and translate trends into commercial actions.
• Understanding of customer demand and stock management.
• Ability to challenge forecast outputs using data and insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration across business and technical teams.
• Experience with forecasting systems or retail tech transformation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end forecasting across products, stores and workflows for the SRO pilot.
• Analyse forecast outputs, identify patterns, risks and exceptions with commercial judgement.
• Investigate forecasting issues with Data Science, Product and vendor teams.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Retail and Supply Chain to align forecasts with priorities.
• Shape and validate the future forecasting solution with design sessions and testing.
• Become an SRO forecasting superuser and support training and rollout phases.
