Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment in the United Kingdom seeks a Forecasting Analyst on a fixed-term contract to own sales and margin forecasting across retail and ecommerce channels.

You will build forecasts, deliver models daily to annually, and analyse traffic, conversion, basket value and sales performance. The role involves presenting insights to senior stakeholders and partnering with Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Forecasting and analytics experience in retail or omnichannel environments.
• Experience with large datasets and reporting tools.
• Strong ability to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain sales forecasts across stores and online channels.
• Deliver daily, weekly, monthly and annual forecasting models.

Forecasting Analyst FTC Up to 55k base

This organisation operates within a fast-paced omnichannel retail environment, serving customers across both physical and digital channels. They are investing heavily in data, analytics, and commercial planning to support continued growth and improve decision-making across the business.

The Role

As an Forecasting Analyst, you will take ownership of sales and margin forecasting across retail and e-commerce channels, partnering closely with commercial and operational stakeholders.

• Build and maintain sales forecasts across retail stores and online channels
• Deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting models to support trading performance
• Analyse trends in traffic, conversion, basket value, and sales performance
• Provide insight-led recommendations to optimise commercial and trading decisions
• Forecast margin performance and support promotional planning strategies
• Translate sales forecasts into operational demand requirements for wider business planning
• Present forecasts, risks, opportunities, and performance updates to senior stakeholders
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve forecasting accuracy
• Partner with teams across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, E-commerce, and Category functions

Your Skills & Experience

• Forecasting, commercial analytics, merchandising, or planning experience
• Background within retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Advanced experience working with large datasets and reporting tools
• Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience influencing business decisions through insight and analysis
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving commercial environment
