Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are recruiting Food Waste Collection Loaders to support a new weekly food waste collection across both districts.
You will collect food waste from residents, work as part of a crew, and help ensure safe handling of waste while delivering high standards of service.
Position is 37 hours per week over 4 days (Mon–Fri, 06:30–17:00, 16:30 finish on Fridays). Local Government Pension Scheme, generous leave and training are offered.
Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are seeking to recruit Food Waste Collection Loaders to support the delivery of our new weekly food waste collection service across both districts. As a Food Waste Collection Loader, you will play a key role in helping residents recycle their food waste and contribute to environmental sustainability. Working as part of a collection crew, you will collect food waste from residential properties and ensure waste is handled safely and efficiently. There may also be opportunities to support the wider Waste Services team, including domestic refuse, recycling and garden waste collections, as required.
We are looking for individuals with experience in waste collection services or a similar outdoor operational environment. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
37 hours per week worked over any 4 days from 5 (Monday to Friday), 06:30 to 17:00 (16:30 finish on Fridays)
Grade 3, Scale Points 5-9 £25,583.28 - £27,254.09 per annum
