Job summary

Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are recruiting for Food Waste Collection Driver/Loaders to support the new service across both districts. Duties include safe operation of collection vehicles and weekly collection of food waste from properties, with potential duties in related waste services.

Role is permanent, 37 hours per week, working 4 days out of 5, with start times from 06:30. Salary £29,539.97–£32,061.14 per annum, Grade 5, Scale Points 14-19. Closing date 27 September 2026.

Qualifications

• We are looking for individuals with experience in waste collection services or a similar outdoor operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect food waste from residential properties on a weekly basis as part of a collection crew.
• Assist with wider Waste Services tasks including domestic refuse, recycling and garden waste when required.
