Job summary

Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils are recruiting Food Waste Collection Driver/Loaders to deliver our new service across both districts. You will operate collection vehicles safely and collect food waste from residential properties on a weekly basis as part of a crew, ensuring an efficient, reliable, and customer-focused service.

You should hold a full Class 2 UK HGV licence with a Driver CPC and digital tachograph card, plus a proactive, flexible approach and good time management.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Category C).
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Experience driving HGVs in public-facing roles.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate food waste collection vehicles.
• Collect food waste from residential properties on a weekly basis.
• Work as part of a collection crew to deliver an efficient, reliable service.
• Comply with health and safety and road traffic legislation and professional conduct.
