Role: -Food Specification Manager
Location: -Fully remote
Type: -Full time, Permanent

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Specification Manager to join a well-established organisation to run the day-to-day management of client accounts with the technical and regulatory expertise in the Food industry and leading the way within the advisory teams, managing 6 direct reports.

Responsibilities

1. Day to day management of a number of client accounts.
2. Direct line management of the delivery team - will manage six team leaders.
3. Provide clear guidance to clients and suppliers and ensure that expectations are managed and worked to time scales.
4. Resolve any issues with workload of the team.
5. Be the first point for matters of escalation from the Team Leaders, directly from the clients or from the sales teams in relation to quotations.
6. Monitor or raise performance concerns from both an internal and external perspective. Communicating any training needs that are required.
7. Provide timely feedback to the clients by providing written reports of the data collected.

The Person

1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in Food Science, Nutrition or similar subject.
2. Previous line management experience.
3. Wealth of experience working with UK retailers within compliance, technical or regulatory (For example, M&S, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Waitrose etc).
4. Practical experience of using specification or artwork packages.
5. Fluent in spoken and written English - even though the role is remote, you must be based in the UK.
6. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
7. Experience of communicating decisions to clients.
