Job summary

Staffline is seeking Food Production Operatives for a busy Manchester factory, manufacturing and packing gammon and bacon. The role offers a standard shift with a 45 minute break and pays £13.00 per hour, with overtime rates of £19.50 (over 42.5 hours) and £26.00 on Sundays.

Temp to perm, on-site parking and full training provided. Daily duties include preparing pork products, packing, hygiene, loading, and following health and safety rules.

Food Production Operative at our clients busy factory, producing and packing gammon and bacon.

Food Production Operatives in Manchester

The hours of work are: (45 minute break is included)

• - Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm
• - Friday 7am to 4pm

The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour.

Overtime is paid after 42.5 hour

• - £19.50 per hour
• - £26.00 per hour (Sunday)

Your Time at Work

As a Food Production Operative your role will include:

• - Preparing pork for smoking, curing or drying into gammon and bacon joints nusing metapress and injectors to produce the product and packing onto racks
• - Packing joints into boxes and packets to be sent to customer
• - Hygiene Cleaning the factory and equipment
• - Loading trays into large industrial machine
• - Heavy lifting in all areas of the factory is required - Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times (e.g. hand-washing, knife sterilizing and kit wash-down), food safety is a key imperative
• - Competently performing any other tasks for which training has been completed and signed off
• - Being an ambassador for the business at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers
• - Strict adherence to Health Safety rules and procedures.
