Job summary

Away Resorts Ltd. is seeking a proactive team leader for our Mill Rythe Coastal Retreat on Hayling Island. You’ll run shifts in The Green Room, ensure smooth service and coach a busy team to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include rostering, upselling, stock control, and maintaining high standards during peak periods. Seasonal, on-site role with weekly pay and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment.
• Experience of driving revenue and upselling.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Willingness to train on site for hygiene certification.

What We Need In a Nutshell

We’re looking for a team leader who loves being where the action is. You’ll be making everything run smoothly, leading shifts and getting stuck in yourself in our busy onsite new restaurant The Green Room, making sure our guests want to come back again and again.

Who are we?

At Away Resorts we’re a growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday. Our Mill Rythe resort, set on a peaceful estuary, has undergone a stunning £10m refurbishment with our stunning cocktail bar, The Missing Squirrel! As well as our incredible new restaurant The Green Room.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Being at the heart of the action, serving customers, clearing tables, solving problems and leading your team
• Managing rotas so that we always have the right level of cover
• Identifying and sharing best practice with team, including upselling effectively
• Helping to control margins by working alongside the FOH and kitchen teams to control food stock, minimise wastage and manage cleaning and other costs sensibly
• Dealing with customer complaints and managing performance within your team
• Helping to build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering delight, even when we’re exceptionally busy

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, Experience And Qualities You’ll Need

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment
• Experience of driving revenue – we can help you with training
• A problem solver who can manage difficult situations well
• A champion in delivering excellence in customer service with evidence of previous successes
• Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate but this is not a deal breaker as we can do this training on site
