Job summary

Hastings Hotels is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant for the 5-Star Culloden Estate & Spa in Holywood, Northern Ireland. You will present the bar and service beverages and snacks to ensure maximum guest enjoyment with attentive, friendly service.

Working 35 hours across five shifts including weekends, you will help maintain standards, promote hotel offerings, and contribute to a welcoming, professional team environment with staff benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
Ability to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service.
Professional appearance and high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous hospitality experience in a quality establishment.

Responsibilities

Presentation of the bar and service of beverages and snacks for guests.
Maintain cleanliness of service areas according to Hastings Standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests with high service standards.
Greet guests and respond to queries.
Carry out till procedures and cash handling correctly.
Use bar equipment efficiently and minimise wastage.
Maintain stock security and report breaches.
Be knowledgeable about hotel offerings and promote them to guests.
Address guest concerns politely and efficiently with supervisors on duty.
Work with colleagues to ensure a respectful, harmonious environment.
Comply with health, safety, and hygiene policies.
Perform any other duties as required by management.

About the role

To be responsible for the presentation of the bar and the service of beverages and snacks for greatest enjoyment of our guests.

To maintain the cleanliness of service areas according to Hastings Standards.
To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include, bar stocks, preparing and serving beverages, taking orders and payments.
Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
To use equipment and bar pumps efficiently, to maintain proper measures and ensure minimum wastage.
To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
Any other duties as required by management.
