Job summary

Away Resorts in Thirsk is looking for a guest-focused team member to join our bars and restaurants. You’ll greet guests, take orders, and deliver excellent service to ensure every holiday moment is memorable.

We value people who thrive in a busy environment, enjoy working with others, and bring a cheerful, proactive attitude to the team. Holidays and weekends are part of the role, with supportive training and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bar/restaurant.
• Proactive and helpful attitude.

• Experience working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome.
• Take food and drink orders and ensure accuracy.
• Serve behind the bar and provide table service.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and well-stocked.
• Ensure areas are sanitised in line with protocols.
• Help out across the venue when needed.

Location: Woodland Lakes Lodges, Thirsk, Yorkshire

Salary: £12.71 per hour - paid weekly!

What you’ll be doing

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day-to-day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

This includes:

• Meeting and greetings guests with a friendly welcome
• Taking food orders and making sure everyone gets what they asked for
• Serving behind the bar and delivering excellent table service
• Keeping your area clean, tidy and well-stocked
• Ensuring areas are sanitised inline with protocols
• Generally making sure everybody is having a great time

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person. One more thing…holidays happenat holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:

• Have customer service experience and skills
• Relish the fast pace of a busy bar or restaurant
• Be someone who does things without needing to be asked
• Be a people person; easy to talk to and never happy until your guests are
• Have experience of working in a team
