Job summary

Away Resorts at Piperdam Leisure Resort in Dundee is seeking an experienced F&B team leader to drive guest service in our busy bars and restaurants. You will inspire, coach and manage a team of F&B assistants, ensuring smooth service, high standards and strong guest satisfaction.

The role requires evenings and weekend work on a fixed-term contract, with training on site and opportunities for progression within Away Resorts. Benefit from a supportive team and a dynamic holiday park environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced F&B environments.
• Experience in driving revenue growth.
• Strong problem-solving and guest-service skills.
• Level 2 hygiene certificate preferred, on-site training available.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and motivate a team of F&B assistants to deliver excellent service in a busy bar and restaurant.
• Manage rotas to ensure adequate cover at all times.
• Identify and share best practice with the team and upsell effectively.
• Help control margins by coordinating with FOH and kitchen teams on stock, wastage and costs.
• Handle customer complaints and manage performance within your team.
• Build a motivated team that delivers delight even during peak times.

Location: Tattershall Lakes, Lincolnshire

Location:Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee, DD2 5LP, Nr Birkhill

Hours:Variable Hours, Fixed Term Contract - Full Time - Evenings and Weekends required.

Remuneration: £13.05 per hour - paid weekly!

Must be 18+ due to licensing laws

We need someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests’ every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bars and restaurants.

What you’ll be doing

Leading by example, you’ll be motivating a team of F&B assistants to provide excellent service to customers in our busy bar and restaurant. This includes:

• Being at the heart of the action, serving customers, clearing tables, solving problems and leading your team
• Managing rotas so that we always have the right level of cover.
• Identifying and sharing best practice with team, including upselling effectively
• Helping to control margins by working alongside the FOH and kitchen teams to control food stock, minimise wastage and manage cleaning and other costs sensibly.
• Dealing with customer complaints and managing performance within your team
• Helping to build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering delight, even when we’re exceptionally busy.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you feel you have the ability to lead a team with confidence in a busy environment and you can tick the following boxes, we want to hear from you:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment
• Experience of driving revenue – we can help you with training.
• A problem solver who can manage difficult situations well.
• A champion in delivering excellence in customer service with evidence of previous successes.
• Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate but this is not a deal breaker as we can do this training on site.

It’s the icing on the cake if you have specific experience on a holiday park, but don’t worry if you don’t, we provide lots of training.
