Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member for Wandsworth Common Care Home in London. You will support the dining service and help residents with their meals.

You will work 37.5 hours over a mix of early/late shifts and weekends, with DBS disclosure and eligibility checks to work in the UK. The role emphasizes compassion, hygiene, and delivering culinary services in a caring environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with choosing meal options during dining.
• Set tables and maintain standard operating procedures for dining.
• Keep dining areas clean, tidy, and presentable; remove and replenish crockery.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, and finger foods are available and replenished.
• Be aware of and respect residents' dietary requirements.

About The Role

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables.
• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident's dietary requirements.

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene
• Having experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
