Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Surrey is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member to support dining services for our residents at Moorlands Lodge Care Home.

You will assist residents with meals, help with menu choices, and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas to ensure a positive experience for all residents.

DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required; experience in hospitality or care settings is valued.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Experience in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to serving residents.

Responsibilities

• Support dining service and assist residents with meals.
• Help residents choose meal options at dining times.
• Set dining tables according to SOPs and keep front of house clean.
• Ensure fresh cakes, finger foods and fruit are available in the dining areas.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements and preferences.

About The Role

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables.
• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
