Job summary

Avery Healthcare is hiring a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member at Wandsworth Common Care Home in London. You will support residents with meal choices, help maintain front-of-house presentation, and ensure cleanliness throughout service.

The role requires a caring approach, experience in a similar setting desirable, and a basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial. A DBS check will be conducted and proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• High personal hygiene standards required.
• Experience in a similar setting (restaurant/hotel) desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to residents' culinary service.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with choosing meal options during dining.
• Set dining tables according to SOPs.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and well-presented; clear and replenish dirty crockery.
• Ensure fresh cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fruit are available in the dining areas and replenished throughout the day.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

Shift Details : 1 x 37.5 hrs / 1 x 24 hrs (early/late shifts and weekends, all public holidays)

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
• Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables.
• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene
• Having experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents
