Job summary

Skillnet in the United Kingdom is seeking an apprentice Parts Advisor to train alongside fully qualified staff. You will learn sourcing and supplying parts for light vehicles, handle stock, and develop customer service skills.

On completion you will achieve a Level 2 qualification with potential progression to Level 3, opening a full-time automotive career with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent (A*-C/9-4 in English and maths required).
• Interest in vehicle industry with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe storage of parts and handling, storing and receiving stock, payments and procedures.
• Identify, source and order parts; process customer orders and enquiries.
• Assist customers and workshop staff over the phone and face-to-face using stock management systems.
• Support the dealership, improve sales and provide excellent customer service.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work alongside fully qualified parts advisors to be fully trained in sourcing and supplying parts for light vehicles.

This opportunity offers a varied workload, the apprentice will develop skills in a number of areas, including:

• Safe storage of parts
• Handling, storing and receiving stock, payments, procedures, identifying, sourcing and ordering parts
• Monitoring and solving customer problems/enquiries and processing customers orders.

The Parts Advisor Apprentice will be working with both customers and workshop staff, over the phone and face to face, using computerised stock management systems and parts identification programme – ECAT. A Parts Advisor Apprentice will support the dealership, improve sales and provide excellent customer service

On completion of this course you will receive a Level 2 qualification with the possibility of progressing to a Level 3 course

A full time career within the automotive industry with many opportunities to progress to positions of authority. The opportunities are endless. By having a highly regarded set of skills, apprentices can go on to develop their career within specific interests they may have such as progressing through the dealership.
