Job description

BAM FM is recruiting a Mobile Multi-skilled Technician (Electrical Biased) to join the team. The role involves working on our Solihull Schools contract, covering three school locations, with a work schedule of 36.25 hours per week on a shift pattern between 6.00am - 9.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities

1. Carry out reactive repairs and maintenance of building fabric.
2. Perform checking, cleaning, servicing, maintenance, and record-keeping according to company standards, SFG20, and health and safety regulations.
3. Ensure maximum equipment safety, reliability, availability, and presentation.
4. Carry out repairs within your training and competence scope.
5. Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance, complete paperwork and reports.
6. Handle reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, completing associated paperwork.
7. Be on call to provide out-of-hours cover for clients.
8. Follow all company policies and procedures.
9. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and promptly.
10. Perform duties safely and diligently.
11. Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
12. Undertake additional duties as required within your capabilities.

Candidate requirements

1. Relevant experience and recognized qualification in an associated trade (Electrician, Plumbing, etc.).
2. Experience as a Mobile Engineer within M&E Services, preferably Electrical Biased.
3. Experience with rota-based call-outs.
4. Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices.
5. Strong customer care focus.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Proactive approach.
8. Ability to diagnose and repair faults.
9. Full UK Driving Licence.
