Job summary

Whitestone Resourcing Limited is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee a cluster of public sector sites in the Dumfries area. You will be responsible for delivering all FM services in line with contracts, standards, and safety regulations, managing risks and ensuring compliance.

You will develop stakeholder relationships, identify improvement opportunities, and lead a multi-disciplinary team to maintain performance and financial targets within the contract framework.

Qualifications

• Min 5+ years experience of operating public sector buildings.
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
• Proven contract management experience with responsibilities and progression.
• Thorough understanding of FM methods, systems and safety requirements.
• Strong team player with diverse culture awareness.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary workforce.
• Experience identifying cost-effective operational solutions.
• Strong financial management capabilities.
• Understanding of current Health & Safety and FM legislation.

Job description

We are currently working with a UK Facilities Management Service provider to recruit a Contract Manager to oversee a cluster of public sector sites in the Dumfries area

The role

Responsible for operational delivery of all FM services to the buildings within the contract and ensuring that the service is delivered in accordance with all contracted standards & legislation, company policies and procedures such that all company employees, contractors and visitors comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and site policies and procedures.

Management of risks identified within service agreement contract and associated performance standards and specifications, including where appropriate whole life costs.

Development of good working relationships with all stakeholder parties and resolution of all issues arising where the risks as above reside with the FM provider. Identify account development and / or improvement opportunities where achievable whilst minimising risks to contract financial performance.

Candidate requirements

• Min 5 + years Experience of operating public sector Buildings
• IOSH /NEBOSH
• Record in contract management showing consistency and progression with appropriate levels of experience and responsibility and 5+ years experience in a similar role or environment.
• Thorough understanding of facilities management methods, systems and safety requirements.
• Strong team player with an understanding of and willingness to embrace cultural diversity.
• Management of a multi-disciplinary workforce
• Experience of identifying and implementing innovative cost effective solutions to operational problems.
• Effective financial management skills.
• Have full and thorough understanding of current Health & Safety and FM related legislation and compliance.

Desireable

• PFI experience in the Public sector for an outsourced provider
• Experience of working in the Healthcare sector
• Excellent financial knowledge including forecasting and managing budgets
• Experience of developing colleagues.
• Proven track record of success in contract management and retention.
• Experience of site-based contract management with a significant size of workforce
