A national flood risk management body is looking for a fluvial flood risk modelling officer to enhance its modelling services related to flood management and resilience against climate change. The ideal candidate should have experience in flood risk or data management, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders. We are recruiting a fluvial flood risk modelling officer to join our national flood risk evidence modelling service. The team supports and assures the Environment Agency's Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) programmes to deliver our core ambition of a nation resilient to climate change. Our modelling services provide the evidence base for flood management and inform strategic decision-making, supporting the ambitions of EA2030.
The team is part of the national Digital Data Evidence (DDE) service, within the Flood Risk and Coastal Management Department. We provide hydrology and hydraulic modelling services to help improve our understanding of flood risk, working with partners to deliver expert advice, data and analysis that supports flood management.
