Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands seeks experienced FLT Counterbalance operators for a busy manufacturing site in Dordon. The role is full-time with an afternoon shift (1400-2200) and £15.60 per hour, with overtime and a temp-to-perm route.

You will move materials safely, load vehicles, replenish lines and carry out checks in a congested Goods Out area. Applicants must hold a current counterbalance licence and show care in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Current counterbalance licence is required.
• Minimum 18 months active FLT operation experience.
• Care in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Locating orders using a computerised inventory system and retrieving them with the Counterbalance forklift.
• If assigned a PPT role, conduct manual picks while operating the vehicle safely (certificate useful but not essential).
• Maintain strong awareness of surroundings and prioritise health & safety.
• Assist with manual loading/offloading duties as required.
• Complete despatch paperwork.
• Keep the shop floor tidy and ensure walkways are clear of debris.

This full-time FLT Driver PM 2025 (0 - 3 Workers) post pays £15.60 hourly, with overtime available and a temp-to-perm route. Working afternoon shifts, the successful candidate will move materials safely around narrow aisles and a congested Goods Out department, so strong spatial awareness and precision are essential. We are actively seeking a number of experienced FLT Counterbalance for a busy manufacturing facility in the Tamworth area. This is a long-term opportunity with a forward-thinking process plant which puts worker welfare and engagement at the forefront of its operation.

Due to the layout of the shop floor, which can involve narrow aisles and congestion of forklifts in their Goods Out department, it is vital that all applicants have a high degree of confidence on the trucks.

As such, we are really looking for an absolute minimum of 18 months active FLT operation experience.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:
