Job summary

Pertemps is actively seeking experienced FLT Counterbalance operatives for a busy manufacturing facility in the Tamworth area. Responsibilities

• Locating orders using computerised inventory system and retrieving them using the Counterbalance forklift.
• If assigned a PPT role, you will be expected to conduct manual picks whilst operating the vehicle safely (certificate would be useful but not essential).
• Maintaining a strong awareness of your surroundings and ensuring H&S is a top priority.
• Assisting with manual loading/offloading duties as required.
• General despatch paperwork.
• Housekeeping of the shop floor and ensuring walkways are clear of debris.

We are actively seeking a number of experienced FLT Counterbalance for a busy manufacturing facility in the Tamworth area. This is a very well‑established business which produces and distributes materials for the construction and highways industry nationally.

Due to the layout of the shop floor, which can involve narrow aisles and congestion of forklifts in their Goods Out department, it is vital that all applicants have a high degree of confidence on the trucks. As such, we are really looking for an absolute minimum of 18 months active FLT operation experience.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

• Locating orders using computerised inventory system, and retrieving them using the Counterbalance forklift truck
• If assigned a PPT role, you will be expected to conduct manual picks whilst operating the vehicle safely (certificate would be useful but not essential)
• Maintaining a strong awareness of your surroundings and ensuring H&S is a top priority
• Assisting with manual loading/ offloading duties as required
• General despatch paperwork
• Housekeeping of the shop floor and ensuring walkways are clear of debris

Hours:

• Fixed PM (1400-2200) - £15.60 per hour

All core hours worked will be Monday to Friday.
