Job summary

Pertemps Manchester is seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver for a temp-to-perm role based in Trafford Park. This warehouse position pays £14.33 per hour, with overtime at £19.04 per hour after 48 hours per week, on a 4-on 4-off rotation (two days 7am–7pm, two nights 7pm–7am).

This warehouse position pays £14.33 hourly, rising to £19.04 for overtime beyond 48 hours weekly. Shifts follow a 4-on 4-off rotation, alternating two days (7am–7pm) then two nights (7pm–7am). Duties include safely operating counterbalance trucks and other handling equipment, loading and unloading vehicles, plus moving and organising stock. Candidates need proven forklift experience, a valid licence, and confidence working rotating shifts. After twelve successful weeks, a permanent contract may follow. Reliable attendance and adherence to site safety rules are essential throughout. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift driver looking for Temp to Perm full time work within a fast-paced warehouse environment. There is also the potential for a long-term position following a successful temporary period of 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure stock is handled accurately and safely at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence – Essential
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a double pallet forklift is preferred, although training may be provided.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Break Information

75 minutes total — 3 × 15-minute breaks and 1 × 30-minute break.

Before You Start

All successful candidates will be required to complete an FLT assessment and site induction before starting work.
