Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance operator in the Tamworth area for a busy manufacturing facility. This temp to perm opportunity requires a minimum 18 months active forklift experience and a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Locating orders using computerised inventory system and retrieving them with the Counterbalance forklift.
• If PPT role, perform manual picks while operating the vehicle (certificate useful but not essential).
• Maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping on the shop floor.
• Assist with manual loading/offloading duties as required and manage despatch paperwork.

We are actively seeking a number of experienced FLT Counterbalance for a busy manufacturing facility in the Tamworth area. This is a very well-established business which produces and distributes materials for the construction and highways industry nationally.

Due to the layout of the shop floor, which can involve narrow aisles and congestion of forklifts in their Goods Out department, it is vital that all applicants have a high degree of confidence on the trucks. As such, we are really looking for an absolute minimum of 18 months active FLT operation experience.

Your main responsibilities

• Locating orders using computerised inventory system, and retrieving them using the Counterbalance forklift truck
• If assigned a PPT role, you will be expected to conduct manual picks whilst operating the vehicle safely (certificate would be useful but not essential)
• Maintaining a strong awareness of your surroundings and ensuring H&S is a top priority
• Assisting with manual loading/ offloading duties as required
• General despatch paperwork
• Housekeeping of the shop floor and ensuring walkways are clear of debris

Hours

Fixed PM (Apply online only)) - £15.60 per hourAll core hours worked will be Monday to Friday.
