Randstad Group is recruiting an experienced FLT Driver for a temporary role at the DS Smith Packaging site in Hinckley. The ideal candidate holds a valid FLT Counterbalance license and reach truck experience, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality.

The role operates on 6 AM - 2 PM and 2 PM - 10 PM shifts, Monday to Friday, at a DS Smith site in Hinckley. The contract is initially 6 months, with potential to go permanent depending on performance.

• Valid FLT Counterbalance license (proof required).
• Experience operating reach trucks and working as part of a team.

Are you an experienced FLT Driver? Are you based in or around Hinckley?

We have an initially temporary role available within the DS Smith site. This role is ideal for someone with previous Warehouse experience, an FLT Counterbalance licence, reach truck experience and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable as well as proactive.

Role: FLT driver

Shifts: 6 AM - 2PM/ 2PM-10 PM Monday to Friday

Pay: £14.94ph

Duration: 6 month initially potential to go perm

Location: DS Smith Packaging, Dodwells Rd, Hinckley LE10 3BX, United Kingdom

Role & Responsibilities

As a Warehouse FLT Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks within a busy warehouse environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team committed to providing excellent service.

Main tasks include

• Operating FLT counterbalances and reaches trucks to move and stack goods.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
• Ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a warehouse operative, including FLT operation.
• Possession of a valid FLT Counterbalance license (proof required).
• Experience operating reach trucks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Physical stamina for warehouse work.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
